Antler Asks: Linh Niller

Welcome to Antler Asks, a series where we delve into the travel styles, inspirations, and tips from those who travel often. For over 110 years, Antler has been travelling the world, designing quality luggage to accompany every journey. Now, we want to hear from those who, like us, embrace travel as a means of connection – to ourselves, to each other, and to the places we encounter.

In this installment of Antler Asks, we catch up with Linh Niller, a New York City native whose style is grounded in elegant simplicity. Her “less is more” mindset extends to the way she travels: seeking meaningful experiences, broadening her horizons, and deepening her connection with different cultures.

Antler: What does travel mean to you?

Linh: Travel, to me, is always an opportunity to expand my mind and consciousness. A change of scene allows me to discover something new—about the world, about myself, and others.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

Visiting Cambodia and Vietnam—where my parents are from—was the most meaningful I’ve ever taken. It left the deepest impression on me. Seeing where my parents came from, getting to experience the culture firsthand, and learning about my heritage was incredibly special.

What is your best travel/packing tip?

Rolling clothes saves so much room when packing a suitcase! I also believe in planning ahead to minimize effort while traveling. Before a long trip, I try on different outfit combinations and take mirror pictures—it helps me know exactly what looks to wear and how to mix and match pieces.

I honestly love looking and feeling my best when traveling. So that means beautiful luggage is a must have.

London, LA or NYC?

I’m biased because I live there, but it has to be NYC for me!

Are you a light traveller or an over-packer?

I approach most things in my life with a “less is more” mindset, so I always try to be a light traveler, too. That's when my capsule wardrobe-building experience comes into play!

What is one place you would always go back to?

Bermuda. I visit at least twice a year, and the deep blue ocean view never gets old. I feel so at peace there.
